Marisa Weinberg

There is an inherent connectivity among all beings — a beautiful, balanced, and symbiotic happenstance.

With an eternally curious mind, Marisa seeks to understand these connections, to photographically capture nature's stochasticity as it unfolds, to speak for the conservation of wild species, and to embrace the cultures of distant worlds. She strives to tell untold stories, and this is her visual diary.

Marisa’s fascination with the natural world originated during her time at UC Berkeley, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology & Conservation in 2016. She has since traveled to Australasia, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East in pursuit of varying mindsets and scientific camaraderie. In her current life, she continues to explore tangible means of contributing to global wildlife conservation.

A camera in hand since 2007, Marisa is entirely self-taught, maintaining a continual desire to grow in the field of photography. A firm believer in the timeless idiom, “a picture is worth a thousand words,” she hopes to evolve and utilize her craft in the realm of science communication.
